Wittner Fine Tune Pegs
Very easy, quick, effortless and precise tuning, with no slipping. The peg itself does not rotate in the peg hole, but by a smooth internal gearing system, built into the peg. This system removes the need for tailpieces with integral adjusters, which have long been considered by top professionals as a compromise which affects the tonal quality of the instrument. They are currently available for Violin (3/4-4/4) and Cello 7/8-4/4) only. For those instruments who either have the old fashioned thin pegs, or require thicker pegs due to years of use, they are available in Thin, Medium or Thick.
